Journey To Acceptance – A Hero’s Path Into The Heart of Nature
May 18 - 20, 2018
A group of heroes come together to solve a mystery and heal a forest – will you step up to help us?
Many years ago, two great men of magic lived on this land. After many years of close friendship, they had a terrible falling out. The ensuing wizard-war left scars across the land, drove the forest spirits into hiding, and left strange beasts behind. In a final effort to save at least some of the woods, the great spirit transformed these two into cedar trees, and they still stand here today.
What caused the falling out? How can the damage done by the wars be healed? Can the wizards be brought back to friendship again? What clever heroes will join us to answer these questions and save the day?
This story-driven workshop is loosely based on Campbell’s heroes journey framework and features ropes-course style activities, eco-therapy, crafts, and much, much more.
Arrive on Friday evening to meet your fellow adventurers, and spend the next two nights and days exploring the story, the woods, and yourself.
Note: Ages 11 & up please. Those under 18 must be accompanied by at least 1 person over 18. This event will be held in our campground, so you’ll need to bring a tent as well as camping & food supplies. We’ll have picnic benches, fire rings and a bathroom.
